1. Where do the SHOW and CONFERENCE take place?

5. What additional costs should I expect?
The space rates listed on the application only includes the space rental. This does not include the required hardwall shell scheme, carpeting, electrical, or any booth furniture. You should consider the costs for freight and drayage as well. Information regarding the costs of these items will be available in the Exhibitor Service Manual, available Fall 2017.
6. Does the organizer offer booth packages?
Yes – we have a standard booth package for inline or corner booths, as well as upgraded booth packages for inline or corner booths. Information regarding the costs of these packages will be available in the Exhibitor Service Manual, available Fall 2017.
7. How many badges are included with my booth?
Exhibitor registration will open September 2017. You receive 3 free badges per 100 square foot of exhibit space. Every additional badge must be purchased at a price of $15.
8. How late can I register my booth personnel and still have my badges sent to me?
Exhibitor registration will open September 2017. Badges will not be mailed, all badges must be picked-up on-site at the convention center.
9. How do I change the name on my badge?
Exhibitor registration will open September 2017. Instructions for changes to registration will be posted after registration opens.
10. Is transportation provided to the convention center from my hotel?
The major hotels in downtown Indianapolis are connected to the Indiana Convention Center by skywalk. As a result, no shuttle transportation is necessary.
11. What are exhibitor standards?
All exhibitor contracts include a clause requiring compliance with the general conditions for participation in trade shows, special conditions for participation at American Coatings SHOW 2018, and IAEE Guidelines.
12. How do I register for my exhibitor badges?
Exhibitor registration will open September 2017.
13. Can I sell my products/services to attendees at the show?
American Coatings SHOW has a policy prohibiting direct selling and soliciting on the show floor. Exhibitors are encouraged to place orders with attendees for products/services, and accept payment for those orders while on the show floor, but the product or service ordered/purchased must be delivered to the attendee after the close of the show.
14. How can an exhibiting company get more exposure at the trade SHOW?
Whether your objective is to educate attendees on our science, launch a new product line, or dominate the category, your booth space is only the start of your company’s ability to draw attention to your products or services. Make the very most of the trade show experience! There are a number of promotional opportunities including product presentations and sponsorships. Refer to the promotional opportunities we offer for a list of ideas and options. Also, prepare your exhibit by inviting qualified buyers before the show starts.
15. Can I share a booth with another company?

Yes – you can register a co-exhibitor or even several co-exhibitors. You have to send in a separate application form for each co-exhibitor and confirm that the co-exhibitor will be present with his own personnel and exhibit. The fee for each co-exhibitor is $1,200.

16. How can a group of booths be placed together?

At American Coatings SHOW exhibiting companies from foreign countries can organize a pavilion to represent their country and Show Management will group together a certain number of companies.

17. What if a company is acquired or merged?

It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to notify SHOW Management of these situations in writing.

18. How do I make hotel reservations?

Every contracted and registered exhibitor receives an access code from SHOW Management which allows booking housing online on or after Sept. 1, 2017, at www.american-coatings-show.com at the negotiated hotel rates. 

19. How do I obtain an invitation letter in order to get my visa to enter the US?
After registering with the American Coatings SHOW you may go to www.american-coatings-show.com to request a visa letter of invitation.
20. Where do I pick up my badge at the show?
Badges may be picked up onsite in the designated registration area at the Indiana Convention Center. When arriving onsite, please follow the signs to the registration area.
21. May children be on the show floor?
Children under the age of 18 are not permitted on the show floor.
22. As exhibitor, do I have to buy a CONFERENCE ticket to attend the sessions?
Exhibitors must register for the conference, but do receive a discounted rate. Conference tickets are offered in different categories; prices depend on the sessions one would like to attend.
23. If I miss a Conference session what can I do?
Your Conference registration fee includes all Conference materials on a flash drive. If you miss a presentation, you can review the full technical paper corresponding to the presentation on the flash drive.

5. What are the registration fees?
The registration fees vary depending on day(s) and packages booked. Discounts are offered for ACA members, exhibitors of the ACS 2018, and University members. Please check registration and the program brochure for details, available January 2018.
6. What is included in my registration fee?
Registration fees include a permanent exhibition ticket, all sessions in every track, coffee breaks and lunch on the day(s) booked, as well as conference materials. Tickets for Monday include the Plenary Session, Welcome Reception and Poster Session. Tickets for Wednesday do not include lunch; however, a buffet lunch is offered on the show floor Wednesday afternoon free of charge. Pre-Conference Tutorials are not included and have to be booked separately! Please also check registration and the program brochure for more details.
7. As a conference attendee, do I have to buy an exhibition ticket to visit the SHOW?
No, your Conference badge is also a permanent exhibition ticket and gives you access to the American Coatings SHOW on all three days.
8. Do I have to make my own hotel reservation?
Yes, hotel accommodation is not included in the conference fee and has to be made separately. You must be a registered attendee to reserve a room in the AC SHOW and CONFERENCE housing block. Registration and housing for the conference will be available online in October 2017.
9. Is there a shuttle bus service?
All major downtown Indianapolis hotels are connected to the Indiana Convention Center by skywalk. No shuttle service will be provided.
10. Can I attend only one day of the three day meeting?
Yes, every Conference day can also be booked individually.
11. Are there discounts on multiple registrations?
There are no group discounts offered.
12. Will I receive a receipt for my credit card charge?

The confirmation sent to you by Expologic serves as confirmation and a receipt as it specifies the date, method and amount of payment made.

13. I need to submit a purchase order for my registration costs. Can I still register online?

Yes. Simply enter the PO number.

14. Do I have to register in advance or can I register on-site?

We strongly discourage “walking in” as you will not be guaranteed materials or seating. It is best to register in advance. On-site registration carries an additional fee of 10% to cover processing costs.

15. When does the American Coatings Conference open?

The American Coatings CONFERNCE 2018 will open on Monday, April 9, 2018.

16. How will I get my badge?
Badges will not be mailed prior to the Conference. Badge pick-up will be on-site at the registration desk.
17. Will the conference materials provided at the conference be posted on the website?
Materials provided at the Conference will not be on the website. However, presentations not available at the Conference will be posted on the website for attendees who will have been provided the password for access.
18. Are there options for my dietary needs?
The Conference includes buffet-style meals, with a variety of foods. For very strict or exceptional requirements, please contact the Conference organizers.
19. What is appropriate conference attire?
Business attire or business casual is appropriate.
20. Who should attend the conference?
Researchers and research managers, active in the field of technology and science of coatings, both from industry and academia:

21. How can I become a presenter for the conference? When is the call for abstracts?

22. How can I become an exhibitor at the American Coatings SHOW?

23. Where can I find the conference schedule and session descriptions?
The Conference schedule and session descriptions will be available by January 2018.
24. Do I need to sign up for conference sessions ahead of time?
If you already know which session(s) you are going to attend, please let us know with your registration as this helps us plan room capacities/seating. However, your specification is not binding.
25. What if I want to attend more than one session in a given time period?
Your registration fee includes Conference material on a flash drive. If you miss a presentation, you can review the full technical paper corresponding to the presentation on the flash drive at a later time. Better yet: bring a colleague, have him or her attend the parallel session and compare notes!
26. I am an attendee coming from overseas, how do I register for the conference while awaiting my visa status to travel?
We encourage you to register for the Conference as soon as possible, and then apply for your visa. If you are unable to obtain a visa, you will receive a full refund for the Conference fee. In order to obtain a visa letter from the organizer, please contact AC Media.
27. What meals are included with registration?
Your registration includes coffee breaks and Conference lunch of the Conference day(s) booked. Monday includes the Welcome Reception and Poster Session. In addition, a buffet lunch is offered Wednesday on the show floor.
28. Do I need to be a member of ACA to attend the conference?
No. However, a discount of 10% of the standard fee will be given to ACA members. To find out more about membership, contact the American Coatings Association.
