Conference Awards

American Coatings AWARD

The prestigious American Coatings AWARD will be given for the most outstanding technical presentation at the American Coatings CONFERENCE. Selected and sponsored by the ACA and Vincentz Network, the award is an attractive sculpture and a $2,500 cash prize.The winner of the 2020 American Coatings AWARD will be presented during the plenary Session he first day of the conference.

The American Coatings Award 2018 recipients were from DuPont Industrial Biosciences (see photo, right).

Mattiello AWARD

The Joseph J. Mattiello Lecture was designed to recognize an individual who has made outstanding contributions to science, technology and engineering related to the coatings industry. The lecturer will present a paper on a phase of chemistry, engineering, human relationship, or other discipline fundamental to paint, coatings, varnish, lacquer, or related protective and decorative coatings. This award is presented annually, with presentations alternating between the American Coatings Conference and ACA’s CoatingsTech Conference.

The 2018 Mattiello Award recipient was Dr. Ray Fernando (see photo, right).

Poster Session

At each AC Conference, a Networking Reception and Poster Session are held at the end of the first day. During the reception, posters are displayed and contributors are available to discuss their research with interested attendees. Student work is accepted and encouraged.
